Hi there, I’m Naomi and I’m the owner of Feed Your Soul; Gluten free cakes and bakes.
From a young age I was drawn to all things sweet as not only did they taste great, but I have always marvelled at the joy they bring to people, even if only momentarily.
In 2019, after having suffered quite a lot of illness and showing quite a number of symptoms, it became apparent gluten was a driving factor – so goodbye to gluten!
Slowly, I began to repair the damage gluten has done to my gut over the years and during this journey I vowed to make sure my diet didn’t change too much. I wanted to make sure my cakes and bakes tasted like the OG version with gluten because my thinking is, “it’s not my fault I can’t have gluten, why should I suffer?”
So, I started the arduous journey of learning to bake gluten free (and arduous it was!!) Eventually, I managed to fool my husband into thinking the cake I just blind taste tested him, was full of gluten (alas it was not!) I had done it, created a recipe that tasted just the same, if not better.
I pride myself in my work and vowed to continue this trend with all of my products. I refuse to sell any of my products if they taste artificially gluten free (because let’s be honest, no one wants that!)
From my cookies, scones, all the way to my vegan cupcakes I only use the best ingredients and the best recipes!
I want to continue to put the happiest of light in young one’s eyes and joy in adults with my cakes and bakes whilst also serving you up food that can feed your soul. Food that makes your soul smile, because you’ve only got one life, eat the cake!
